Beijing, China — 24 August 2026
A Boreal Core AS delegation led by Founder and General Manager Gurpreet Singh Randhawa visited Sinoma International in Beijing for exploratory discussions concerning potential industrial and technology cooperation between China and Norway.
The delegation received an introduction to Sinoma International's global operations, engineering capabilities, technology development, project-delivery experience and approach to sustainable industrial infrastructure. The programme included business discussions and a guided visit through the company's exhibition facilities.
The discussions examined how complementary capabilities could support future opportunities in Norway and the wider Nordic region. Areas considered included sustainable industrial infrastructure, energy-efficient facilities, advanced materials, energy storage, data-centre development and semiconductor-related infrastructure.
Boreal Core presented its vision for sovereign, renewable-powered AI infrastructure in Norway and its proposed technology and innovation ecosystem in Eidsvoll. Norway's renewable-energy resources, established regulatory environment and access to the European Economic Area were discussed as potential advantages for responsible industrial and technology development.
"Visiting Sinoma International gave us valuable insight into the scale of its engineering expertise, international project experience and commitment to technological innovation. We see potential for Norwegian and Chinese capabilities to complement one another, particularly in sustainable infrastructure, advanced materials, energy systems and the infrastructure supporting AI."
Gurpreet Singh Randhawa
Founder and General Manager, Boreal Core AS
He continued: "Our priority is to identify practical opportunities that can be evaluated through structured feasibility work, technical dialogue and carefully selected pilot projects. Any future cooperation must be commercially sound, environmentally responsible and aligned with Norwegian and European requirements."
The meeting also considered a phased approach to potential cooperation. This could begin with information exchange and market assessment, followed by the identification of relevant products, business units, Norwegian stakeholders and possible pilot applications.
No binding agreement was announced during the visit. Boreal Core and the relevant Sinoma representatives intend to continue evaluating areas where further technical and commercial dialogue may be beneficial.
